I'll be racing on the 26th. I have to work until about 12 though so I will be at the track a bit late. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

I am glad you can make it. It looks like Chris will not be racing that weekend so two out would be missed for sure. We will see you there. I was thinking since you will be late for drivers meeting there should probably be like a 2 lap penalty in the final or something:) (just kidding)!

I would have to second that, at least a half lap.....

I guess that's fair, I'll fall back on the warm up lap to give you a lead up to the standing start. :) You never said specifically when I had to serve the penalty. Not easy starting in the back, plus no practice so I have to jump right into a racing mode but better than missing the race entirely.
I don't like missing the morning activities, but this is the only time this season when work gets into the weekend plans. I'm sure people at work will stare at the kart in the back of the truck all morning as they come in.

You are the man and you will be fine. People give that stuff a stare especially when they find out it is a grown man that runs the thing or it may be that I am funny looking, oh well we are having fun. See you then, I will try and save you a spot if you like.

I wonder if we will be needing to dust off those rain tires this race...it may need to be a boat race, not a kart race. The weather has held up real good basically all year except for the one rain day, maybe we will be blessed with a beautiful early fall day.

Colleen and Dad will be there. We're probably going to be running late ourselves. What's the protocol for handling that? How do we pre-register?
Thanks,
Mike

whats the protocol if we get thunderstorms with lightning and such? postponement?

I don't know...I can loan you my umbrella while we are waiting on the grid if you like:) . If there is lightning in the area they will be on hold until it passes. The track seems to drain really good except for a spot or two so unless it becomes a toad strangler all will be good. It makes for one heck of a mess to clean up afterwards though. The one rain race this year was pretty interesting I learned a lot that day. What sucks is if it rains and stops and starts...it makes it hard to figure out what to do tire/set up wise. Oh well...that's racing I guess! See ya Saturday!

Janet and I will be there too (finally), rain or shine. I'm actually glad it might rain as my ribs are still not 100%.
