Did the dues go up or did Shelton and I really pay $700 to join the club last year? Shelton is not allowed to join on his own so that means $600 to renew. At that rate I doubt we'll renew.

Charles,

If Shelton is the only one racing then it's a single membership which is $400.

Hope this clears the mud.

by providing a worker each race and getting the 50.00 refund the fee's for membership are drastically reduced. Get Shelton to bring a friend to the race and work it. 4 race workers is half the membership dues.

So if I work the next race, Shelton gets $50?

yes and you can provide more than one worker for a race as long as the positions are not filled. For example you could provide 4 workers for one race and shelton would get 200 dollars.

The registered member gets paid for the worker he/she provides. The check at the end of the month goes to the registered member, not the worker.
If Shelton is the registered member, Only then would Shelton get a check for Charles working the race.

When i worked the first race, i didnt get paid for it, as i'm the registered member on my family membership, but i got a check for my son working it.

Its not difficult, and its a fair system, but its a good idea to take the time to read and understand the rules.

Hello mate,
Only a certain number of volunteers are required per race day, and when the quota is full, its full. I think i remember the number being eight. Volunteers that couldnt be utilised don't get paid.
The dues are due by the end of this month, the new season starts 1st of May. The next race being saturday 29th, that should be fine.

Thanks mate,
Andy C

Let's say I'm not a member, but my son wants to race and I volunteer to be the race director. Could my son get a free race entry?

Sorry, we don't do it that way. We have it arranged to give refunds to club members. By the way, we love to have more club members.
