First Kid Kart race April 21st!!!!

:) Hello kid kart enthusiast! The first race for the kid karts will be held on Saturday April 21st! This will include comer 50 and comer 80 classes. Please look for upcoming posts including a schedule of events to be released early next week.;)

I will have Carson in the Comer 50 class and Christopher in the Comer 80 class. Who else will be there? Remember, just because we aren't racing on the same days as the Rotax classes does not mean these classes are not important. Everyone please continue to support the young classes. They are the Rotax drivers of the future. Racing on different days than the Rotax classes will make it cheaper to race, provide a more laid-back atmosphere ( scooter races anyone?, picnics etc.), and we'll get done alot earlier. 2007 Kid Kart Series
*The first Kid Kart Races will be held Saturday April 21st.
*Schedule of events:
o 8:00 Gates open/Driver Registration
o 8:30 Mandatory Safety Inspection
o 9:00 Mandatory Driver’s Meeting
o 9:30 Open Comer 50 Practice
o 10:00 Open Comer 80 Practice
o 10:30 Comer 50 Qualifying (5 minutes)
o 10:40 Comer 80 Qualifying (5 minutes)
o 11:00 Comer 50 Prefinal (8 laps)
o 11:15 Comer 80 Prefinal (10 laps)
o 11:30 Comer 50 Final (10 laps)
o 11:45 Comer 80 Final (12 laps)
o 12:00 Awards Ceremony
o 12:15 Pizza Party
*Finishing order will be determined by the race director. If all class entries have transponders, timing and scoring equipment may be used to determine finishing order.
*All entry fees ($10 per driver) go towards cash prizes that will be awarded at the end of the day to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in both classes (3:2:1). Proceeds from the Pizza Party will go towards championship awards (cash prizes).
*Points will be awarded as listed:
o1st =10; 2nd= 8, 3rd = 6, 4th = 5, 5th = 4, 6th = 3, 7th = 2, 8th = 1
*Parents are asked to contribute $5 per eating family member to the cost of the pizza party!
*We hope to make this a fun, family friendly event and to encourage an environment for the development of our future Rotax Racers.
*Entry forms will be available at BCKC Race 1, by e-mail, day of race, and soon on the website.
