Hello all! I am very pleased to announce that we have arranged for a photographer for Kid Kart Race #2. He will be taking pictures both prior to and during the races. We is willing to do group pictures as well for any family with multiple racers. We plan to have formal sittings for everyone present in the AM. In order to accomodate the formal sittings we will push the start of racing back one hour.

The photographer is donating his time and services free of charge. During the day's events, CDs will be burned containing pictures of your children and you will receive these free of charge at the awards ceremony. The photographer has released the use of the pictures for any purpose. He asks that, if you feel so inclined, you may donate to the end of year prize fund in honor of his work.

So the schedule will be:
*8 AM gates open
*8-10 AM formal pictures -- When the photographer arrives Saturday morning, we will select to best site for photographs. My guess is that he will prefer the start/finish line. So if you would, when you are ready to have your child's (or your) photograph, taken please bring your kart, child (in driving suit) and helmet to the designated site. We will take pictures with the checkered flag and other poses of your choice.
*9:30 AM Mandatory safety inspection
*10 AM Mandatory Drivers Meeting. In order to make driver's meeting a learning experience for everyone, we will discuss the various flags.
*10:30 Open Comer 50 Practice
*11:00 Open Comer 80 Practice
*11:30 Comer 50 Qualifying (5 minutes)
*11:40 Comer 80 Qualifying (5 minutes)
*12:00 Comer 50 Prefinal (8 laps)
*12:15 Comer 80 Prefinal (10 laps)
*12:30 Comer 50 Final (10 laps)
*12:45 Comer 80 Final (12 laps)
*1:00 Awards Ceremony
*1:15 Pizza Party
*If any class entries do not have transponders, starting order for the prefinals will be determined by a draw.
*Finishing order will be determined by the race director. If all class entries have transponders, timing and scoring equipment may be used to determine finishing order.
*All entry fees ($10 per driver) go towards cash prizes that will be awarded at the end of the day to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in both classes (3:2:1). Proceeds from the Pizza Party will go towards championship awards (cash prizes).
*Points will be awarded as listed:
o1st =10; 2nd= 8, 3rd = 6, 4th = 5, 5th = 4, 6th = 3, 7th = 2, 8th = 1
*Parents are asked to contribute $5 per eating family member to the cost of the pizza party!
*We hope to make this a fun, family friendly event and to encourage an environment for the development of our future Rotax Racers.

The track will be open at the conclusion of Kid Kart awards for open practice.

:DIf you plan to attend, please post here, message me, or e-mail me so that I may send you entry and minor forms to make registration easier on race day. ;)

If you would be willing to work the race (no pay but free pizza! ;)) then please post here as well!

We want to make this a huge family event so please plan to join us on May 19th!!!

Carson (Comer 50), and Christopher (Comer 80) will both be racing. Both karts should be running by then. I am in the process of putting in new rings and main bearings for the 50, and a new coil for the 80. I should be done by the end of this week, but I 'm still waiting on the Comer pulley puller. Hey did everyone know on the Comer 80 that you have to remove the flywheel to get to the coil, and that you can't get the Comer 80 flywheel off without the Comer flywheel/clutch pulley remover? I sure didn't. I tried using my regular 8 way pulley remover but it just wouldn't work.
Austin is available to do flags again. He really enjoyed it last time.
