Big day at BCKC today. More fun than I thought was legal…
Firstly, welcome to new member Brian Adkins. Another addition to the Rotax Arrow stable. Pretty quick today too for a first day out on a kart.
Brian is also a keen gardener, and unselfishly volunteered to leave the track several times today, to do some much needed landscape maintenance. I think we should all consider our own selfish attititude to simply staying on the track, when maybe we should follow Brians example and get off the track more frequently to inspect the grass…..Shame on us all…
Also good to meet Jorg Warmuth today. Thanks for making the long haul up here from B’Ham Jorg. Really nice to meet you mate, you should come up and run more often!
Speaking of landscaping…There were so many people observed congregating off the track at the exit from the creek turn today, that rumor has it that Walmart is investigating the possibility of putting a new store in there. When asked why they were spending so much time parked on the grass there, your correspondent was told that they were simply “checking out good places for the next cook out”….okey dokey…
A touch of high drama to end the day (again, down at the proposed site of the new Walmart…or the cook out..) involving some ‘wheel to sidepod’ contact, and a trip onto the grass again.
Due to legal concerns, I am not at liberty to divulge the identities of the individuals concerned, but suffice it to say that at dusk, Mike Robinson was down there with a flashlight, an evidence kit, and some crime scene tape. The other gentleman was halfway back to Birmingham, singing some Danish sea song……..
Conspicuous by their absence;
Ken Sullivan, Jason Wisener, Mark Wisener.
Rumor has it that these gentlemen were “tipped off” about the impending search warrant and raid, concerning the prescence of used spark plugs in toolboxes….
Being (By their own admission) the chief proponents of this heinous crime, apparently they chose to “lay low” today….You can run but you cant hide…..
There were so many spin-offs today that I’m seriously considering not practicing anymore, and instead,starting a new trackside business called “Two men and a Cart”….
