Saturday July 24th 9am-1pm practice

This will be our first trip to BCKC as we just moved from NTK near Dallas. We are about three hours away so would like to get as much time on the track as driver and kart will allow.
Any advice would be welcome.
Regards,
Bob Preston

24th practice

We are always happy to have people wanting to have the track open for practice.
We will have the track open on Sat the 24th. What about 9:30A (CST) to 4:00 P ? Will that work okay? We usually watch how the weather is looking couple days before practice.
What type of information or help are you looking for, gear ratio for the track etc?

Bob, welcome to the track/club. This is my first year and I can say everyone is very friendly and helpful. What class will you be running? Will you make it to the 7/31 race? I would encourage that even if you only get 1 or no practice.

Terry & Richard,
Thanks for the warm welcome! Sorry for the delayed answer, I changed my email on my forum profile and may have messed something up, although the administartor got me reset.
Yes Terry, those times are perfect. We are looking forward to it.
My son has been running yamaha jr sportsman at our previous track and we are planning to move him to rotax jr, (bringing both karts) after he gets a feel for the track in his yamaha.
It would be a big help if someone could let me know what a typical gear would be for the Rmax jr? This will be our first outing in a rotax so between learning the track, breaking in the motor, and tuning the jet & chassis, I should have a full day.
Do you guys have electricity availible in the pits?
Regards,
Bob Preston

Bob, my Son (Sean) and I really look forward to meeting you and your Son. I run Masters and he runs Junior. We may not be there this Saturday, but we will definitely be at the 7/31 race. This is our first year, but we will share any of our limited knowledge with you guys.

Scott,
Thanks for the welcome. Cole is looking forward to getting there for a race soon. We will not be able to make it to the 7/31 race because we are finishing our move that weekend. He has circled all the remaining dates so we'll do our best to make the rest of them.
Regards,
Bob Preston

Bob, to answer your question about electrical power. There is none at the track.

More importantly there is no water and even more importantly (for this Saturday) there is NO SHADE! It is expected to be 100F and the sun is brutal in the pit area. Since you are from TX, I'm sure you can handle it but make sure you bring an EZ-UP and plenty of water.

Since it looks like you are the only one requesting practice, make sure you communicate with Terry directly so you guys are on the same page to confirm participation and times.

Have fun!

Jeff Carter and myself will be coming tomorrow for Jeff to practice. Jeff is new to karting and will be racing in Masters class. We are planning on being there around 9:30.
